Product Overview
The S102 is a micro scale GEPON OLT platform that extends economically the service coverage of GEPON for remote areas through a connection of long haul Gigabit Ethernet. In wide spread and low dense service areas like villages of rural areas, deploying a bulk system and keeping the remote facilities are not economic. The S102 provides the economic solution for operators to extend service coverage while keeping same GEPON service with its compact size, temperature hardened robustness and various options of Gigabit Ethernet connection.
The S102 offers 2 ports of GEPON with 2 ports of Gigabit Ethernet for optical uplink connection. With commercial off-the-shelf optical transceiver of Gigabit Ethernet optical tranceiver, it can extend GEPON service more than 100km with a single core. It can cover 128 subscribers with 64 splits. Within a compact sized 1 RU chassis, power and dual splitters are included. It also can be connected with WDM PON optical links from the S5 platform through WDM media converter that fits into chassis instead of splitter. The S102 offers same GEPON service when it is connected to S5 platform.
