Overview

Corecess VDSL technology based products can transmit data up to 57Mbps rate on commonly used copper telephone lines. Its access rate far exceeds the one provided by ADSL, and it is a broadband access method (Ethernet over VDSL technology) that can provide long distance transmission via Ethernet technology and the existing copper line resource for the user at the "last one kilometer". It is the latest DSL technology, and an expansion of the Ethernet technology. It can perform Ethernet data grouping and assembling, can provide stable high-frequency transmission over telephone line, and can increase the standard transmission distance of Ethernet.

Corecess 6608F is an Ethernet over VDSL DSLAM equipment. It provides 8 lines of VDSL interface that provide full standard frequency band allocation and 2 ports of network interface, which are capable of supporting Fast Ethernet up-link modules.

Corecess 6608F provides 8.8Gbps Switching Throughput and downstream data rates up to 57 Mbps asymmetric service, using single pair of normal twisted pair telephone wires, enabling service providers to offer high-speed Internet access and broadband services.
Corecess 6608F has been engineered with high durability, providing the optimum broadband access solution fit for the most challenging environmental conditions such as MDUs, MTUs, and MHUs.

Corecess 6608F provides improved VLAN, rate-limit by VDSL link speed configuration, standardized management, and simple S/W upgrades. It also provides optimal subscriber network management solutions support to service providers for value-added services. With its stackable and rate-limiting functions, it offers the service providers easy growth and cost-effective solution for service offering.

Key Features & Benefits

  • 8-line Ethernet over VDSL line concentrator.
  • Provides maximum downstream data rates up to 57Mbps, incorporating channel frequency allocations as per 998 standard spectral band plan.
  • Provides maximum upstream data rates up to 33Mbps, incorporating channel frequency allocations as per 998 standard spectral band plan.
  • Provide maximum reach up to 1Km over single pair of twisted pair telephone wires.
  • Line rate configurable for various service grades.
  • Support standard band allocations - plan 998(ITU-T G.993.1 Annex A)
  • Support standard band allocations - plan 997(ITU-T G.993.1 Annex B). (Planned)
  • Support ISDN/ADSL friendly mode for various service environments.
  • Provide automatic rate adaptation function in steps of 2.5 Mbps.

Ethernet-based Diverse Backbone Interface

  • Two 10/100 Base-TX uplink interfaces with link aggregation function.

Improved Reliability and Security Functions

  • Real-time clock for system operation and log.
  • Support for Overlapped VLAN and IEEE 802.1q Tagged VLAN.
  • Limitation on the storage capacity of MAC addresses per port.
  • Support for level 2 priority of IEEE802.1p and other tagged VLAN feature support is available to customers.
  • Power Cable Lock prevents power cables from detaching abruptly and henceprovides reliability.

Advanced Management Function for MxU

  • Support for mirroring per port and VLAN port.
  • In-band management through SNMP and Telnet, and out-of-band management through CLI-based console port.
  • Support for traffic management, monitoring and analyzing tools using the 4 RMON group. (history, statistics, alarms, events)
  • Remote software upgrades using FTP and TFTP.
  • Monitors major conditions of system (temperature, abnormal supply of power, power duplex status) and informs on a real-time basis.
  • Automatically turning on/off the fan at fixed temperatures in order to prolong the life of the product and enable smootheroperations at lower temperatures.
