Overview

The advent of the Internet and its related applications led to the sudden increase of data traffic around the world. This increase in traffic and applications also affected the diversification of traffic types. The adaptation of the broadband technologies has helped in satisfying the increasing demand for bandwidth at the backbone. However, high quality applications; such as 3D based solutions, require broadband all across the network.

The xDSL technologies are leading the way to provide broadband speed at the last mile. The xDSL solutions are being increasingly promoted as the optimal solutions to cope with changing access environment without the high cost involved. The xDSL is utilizing the existing infrastructure (telephone cables), and provides better quality of service with continuous technology improvement.

The Corecess smart xDSL products series provide variety of DSL solutions (ADSL, VDSL and SHDSL) adequate to many users requirement. The Corecess smart DSL products are IP based solutions, provide more efficient and cost-effective data delivery services to the end users far acceding the ATM based xDSL solutions.

The Corecess 3113 is an external modem supporting flexible ADSL service by providing downstream bandwidth of up to 8 Mbps and upstream connectivity of up to 1 Mbps. The Corecess 3113 modem provides all the required end user connectivity functions as well as some routing and bridging capabilities.

The Corecess 3113 is usually connected to the user PC through the 10Base-T port from one end and to the ADSL network via the telephone line on the other end. It provides plug and play capabilities which can help reduce operational cost to the service provider.
