Overview |
|
The Corecess 7200 series is an ADSL2+, temperature hardened mini-DSLAM designed for use in cabinets, vaults or buildings outside the Central Office which demands a rugged design and high performance. Available in either a 24 port model (cc7224) with POTS splitters integrated for an enhanced space utilization and performance optimization, or a 48 port box (cc7248) without splitters is integrated in the 7200 series compact, one rack unit DSLAM that is ideal for a variety of applications and service needs.
Using standards compliant DMT ADSL2+, the 7200 series delivers up to 24 Mb/s downstream speeds on Cat.3, UTP copper phone lines. With growing demand for broadcast and on demand video services along with high speed Internet access, the availability of ADSL2+ enables service providers to offer as much as 3 times the bandwidth as regular ADSL while enjoying extended rates and reach.
The 7200 series offers a wide range of uplink interfaces to choose from, that are supported on IP backbone networks. Dual port Fast Ethernet interfaces like 100BaseT, TX/RX uplinks are offered. The 7200 series offers the flexibility of a full-featured intelligent IP DSLAM combined with ATM interfaces for use in existing networks. The uplink options also allow service providers to use the 7200 series for high-speed data only with lower speed uplinks, or for video triple play services with the larger capacity uplinks, or capacity scaling in the future.
For video triple play services, the 7200 series has the IP functionality built-in to support broadcast and VoD service such as IGMP V2 snooping, 802.1p QoS/VLAN tagging and 802.1p CoS. New error correction and high performance packet processor are also incorporated to enhance video capabilities.
The compact design of the unit can be used in either 19inch or 23inch racks, and can be either AC or DC powered. As it is a self contained unit, with ventilation on both sides, the 7200 series is easy to install and can be mounted with very limited space utilization in a cabinet or building.
Corecess 7200 series products also support backward ADSL technology compatibility. |
