  R1P-VD is the pure Ethernet based VDSL2 DSLAM that offers symmetric 100Mbps over pots line. The standard VDSL2 is implemented on the enhanced Layer 2 Ethernet switch that provides the high performance of packet processing capabilities. R1P-VD has built-in POTS splitter and comes in 2 models, 16ports and 24 ports of VDSL2.

  With enhanced Layer 2 switching engine, R1P-VD provides the same performance and functionalities of packet processing as R1P-SW24L2B Ethernet switch with VDSL line control and management function. The optimized and standardized functions of R1P-VD such as QoS and multicast with the symmetric high speed capability provide more efficient solution for both of residential and commercial services. Compact form factor, full front access and various optical link interfaces make R1P-VD the most appropriate solution for broadband DSL access network.

  R1P-VD offers default 2 ports of Gigabit Ethernet that improves scalability connecting in cascade form. It provides an optional uplink slot for the optical links such as Gigabit Ethernet, GEPON, GPON and Gigabit WDM PON from S5 OLT. The removable optical uplink module improves the flexibility of network configuration and makes the migration simple with easy replacement in fields.

  R1P-VD supports wide ranges of IP packet processing technology such as 802.1q tagged VLAN, 802.1w RSTP, 802.1p CoS, 802.3ad Link Aggregation, 802.3x flow control and Ingress/egress port mirroring. It also supports powerful QoS functions such as MFC, CoS, DSCP, ToS marking/remarking, Policing/ Shaping/ Rate control, Congestion Control and Scheduling. It offers multicast functions like IGMP snooping and Fast Leave. The network protection technologies including MAC filtering, IGMP/DHCP/ARP Snoop filtering, HOL blocking prevention, DHCP filtering, NetBEUI/NetBIOS/NBT filtering and ACL enhance the network security.
